National Home Protection writes home warranty policies, which cover normal wear-and-tear damage to your appliances and systems. National Home Protection is owned by Trilegiant, a Connecticut-based company. The corporate office of the company is based in New York City, NY. April 27, 2009, Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo filed a claim against the company for deceptive home warranty scheme that defrauded consumers in New York and across the country out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. National Home Protection offered four types of coverage: basic (B), kitchen and laundry (KL), deluxe system (DS) and major systems. The major-systems plan includes the following, with parentheses indicating whether these items are also covered in other plans: Plumbing system and stoppage, Air conditioning, Electrical system, Water heater, Heating system, Oven and stove, etc. There is optional additional coverage for pools, spas, sump pumps, well pumps and a handful of other devices. The customer service of the company is available at 1-800-608-6045. Please try to contact NATIONAL HOME PROTECTION Customer Service directly prior to posting any complaints on this site.

Repairs
The repair industry has changed drastically over the last 5 years. It means that the price of consumer electronics is as low as it has ever been. So that is not a problem to buy a new piece if the previous one filed. However, still people may require electronic repair services. Electronic equipment contains dangerous voltages and can be hazardous to unqualified service personnel. Only those with adequate training, equipment, facilities and experience should attempt to repair any electronic equipment. Anyone attempting to repair any electronic equipment who does not fully understand the shock hazards, as well as the fire hazards associated with working with electronic equipment, should not attempt such procedures! Improperly attempted repair can kill you and burn down your house. That is why it is better to order the services from specialized companies. Such companies offer on-site services as well as take the damaged item to their facility and then ship it back when repaired. Such companies are numerous and their prices vary considerably.
